This is what developers call the public-facing site of your website.

This is referred to as what your visitors can see! You can tell when you’re logged into the site as you will have a black admin bar at the top of the screen. It also enables you to navigate between the front-end and back-end of your site more easily.

See also back-end.

To conclude...

The front-end of your site is what your visitors can see in their browsers!
